Teaching the Arts
Teaching the Arts is teaching to observe and listen. It's being in constant dialogue with each other and with nature. It's looking for our essence as trainers and passing on our experiences. It means taking care of our students, their creativity and supporting them, each one in their own way. It is about transmitting knowledge and getting to the heart of the matter. "Teaching the Arts" is a very special course, created by Bodil Eide and Paulo Borges together with Cerdeira - Home for Creativity, and a unique opportunity to grow as trainers and artists.
From the 22nd to the 26th of January 2022, there will be another edition of this 4-day course for artists who would like to learn how to teach in their artistic field. We have 5 spots available for artists who would like to join Cerdeira’s pool of internal trainers. We propose a stay at Cerdeira in total immersion with creativity, nature and learning, within an atmosphere of sharing and community with all participants and trainers.
The course is suitable for artists from all areas, from the visual arts to traditional crafts and knowledge, such as Wood, Ceramics, Drawing, Binding, Tiles, Felt, Weaving, Jewelry, among many others.

Application deadline: Until December 13th.
Price: 75€ (includes 4 days training + 5 nights accommodation in a bunk bed in a shared room with equipped kitchen + Welcome dinner)
Course schedule; 10am-5pm (with 2h lunch break from 1pm-3pm)
Your application must include a short description of your artistic path, a portfolio with some of your work, a motivation letter and a concrete idea of the workshop/course you would like to host at Cerdeira Arts & Crafts School.
