basket making COURSE
WITH CARLOS FONTALES
The Basket Making Course, guided by Carlos Fontales, invites you to learn the art of traditional basketry for six days using three different vegetable fibers: wicker, esparto, and chestnut wood strips.
During the Basket Making Course, you will have the opportunity to know, identify, and work with different plant fibers and apply the respective techniques in basketry.
Over six days, you will make several baskets and a pair of slippers. You will learn to recognize the various fibers that make up the raw material, their origin, and how they can be used to make baskets.
